The sacred heart, our celebration's theme, represents the compassion and grace I hope to carry forward into this next decade. You'll notice two swords crossing the heart – these symbolize my endless love and devotion for my children, Ella and Jackson. Roses, too, play a special role in our festivities. They represent the sweetness of our shared memories, the purity of new beginnings, and the promise of the life yet to unfold.

Your presence means the world to me. Many of you have played a vital role in the story of my life so far – my "research years," as Carl Jung might say. He once wrote, "Life really does begin at forty. Up until then, you're just doing research." Now, as I turn this page, I'm excited to embrace the next chapter alongside those who matter most.

As we celebrate through the festive streets of San Miguel, share laughter, and create new memories, know that you all are the heart of this celebration. 

Here's to compassion, to grace, to love, and to living life to its fullest.
